Diamond Jubilee Celebration
We had a fantastic afternoon in the sunshine to celebrate the school's Diamond Jubilee. Hundreds of pupils, staff, friends and families, past and present gathered at the school on Saturday 11th June to share memories and reminisce about times gone by. We were joined by members of the village clubs and societies who entertained, informed and fed us delicious cakes. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this special day one to remember.

Hi
ReplyDeleteI would like to thank everyone concerned in organizing the Diamond Jubilee event at the school, including all the children, staff and helpers for a wonderful day. I would especially like to thank Holly Padgett for her colourful front cover design. It was a pleasure to meet her and her father, and I would like to thank her for signing her work. I felt very old when I look around at the other attendees. I saw three friends I remember, one of whom used to sit next to me in the classroom (Pauline Hills, nee Gilchrist). I hope to be still around in 10 years time for the next reunion of old Bardsey Primary School pupils. Perhaps, with a good wind behind me .... My name is Peter Henderson Gulliver and I began attending Bardsey School on 1st September 1953, which I believe was a Tuesday, and I left in 1956 (I cannot remember the date). Once again, a big thank you to everyone concerned for all their much appreciated efforts.
Kindest regards, Peter Gulliver (Peter@51history.co.uk) (Air Historian)
